In this session, you’ll be learning several advanced skating techniques that will challenge and enhance your skills. We’ll start with the backwards session skate, where you’ll improve your ability to skate smoothly and confidently in reverse.
Next, we’ll move on to spread eagles, a graceful and impressive move that involves gliding with your legs spread apart while your toes point outward in opposite directions. Mastering this move will improve your balance, flexibility, and edge control.
After that, we’ll work on both forwards and backwards tippy toes. Tippy toes involve skating on the front tips of your blades, which requires excellent balance and strength. While backwards tippy toes offer their own set of challenges, it’s important to note that forwards tippy toes are particularly difficult to master. However, practicing forwards tippy toes is crucial as it helps build the foundation and muscle memory needed for tippy toes in both directions.
