ABEC System
The ABEC system is a standard for identifying the precision of bearings. These bearings are rated from 1 to 11, with higher numbers indicating a higher grade of precision in their manufacturing. A higher ABEC rating means a smaller tolerance range, which often correlates with higher cost. The bearings in your wheels have an ABEC rating marked on them. Generally, a higher ABEC rating indicates better precision, which can contribute to smoother and potentially faster performance. Rollerblades generally com with five, six, and sevens that’s why I recommend upgrading to a higher bearing.
